Since the launch of the Flatfile Data Exchange Platform six months ago, our engineering team has dedicated countless hours enhancing its capabilities and adding new features.
Recognizing the wide range of data import, collection, exchange, and onboarding use cases our users have, we've focused our recent efforts on making the different use cases much easier and faster to implement.
Introducing a new developer experience which includes "Platform Apps” and an improved dashboard. This offers a curated experience designed around typical use cases, allowing you to get started quickly and leverage the platform in the way that best suits your needs.
In the updated dashboard, you'll find a new "Platform Apps" section, which includes Portal, Projects, Workbooks and Mapping:
Portal, or as we like to call it, "The Flatfile import button our users know and love” provides a simple and efficient data import option for end users. This lets you give your users the import experience you always dreamed of but never had time to build.
With Portal, we've made the getting started process a whole lot faster and easier with step-by-step instructions.
Projects lets you collaborate on data your way. When you’re dealing with complex data workflows across diverse stakeholders, Projects lets you onboard new customers or solve any collaborative need for importing, validating, editing and approving data. Granular access control and powerful data transformations ensure the right people manage the right data at the right time.
Everyone has specific data onboarding workflows and needs, so please let us know if you want to learn more about Projects.
For when you want to utilize Flatfile’s spreadsheet experience to edit, validate, transform, or integrate data into your workflow, and you don't need to import a CSV or Excel file manually. Workbooks is perfect for working with existing data or for manual data entry
A new dedicated Mapping API solution if you need to map schemas in your own systems without sending your data to Flatfile, whether it's in data pipelines, API integrations or data conversion workflows.
With the new dashboard, switching between environments is easier than ever with the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
If you're a new Flatfile user, you’ll automatically get the new dashboard when you login.
For existing users, you'll soon see a link in your dashboard that will allow you to check out the new experience and switch between the new and current dashboard.
