Flatfile named to Inc. Magazine’s annual list of best workplaces for 2021

As a remote startup working hard to build and grow the data onboarding category, we’re also working hard to create the best remote workplace possible for our employees. We’re thrilled to be recognized for our efforts as Flatfile has been included on the Inc. Magazine’s 2021 Best Workplaces list. The Inc. list is a result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of American companies that have created exceptional workplaces and company culture. 

Collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. singled out 429 honorees this year. Each nominated company took part in an employee survey on topics including management, effectiveness, perks and fostering employee growth. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine overall scores. 

“The definition of a positive workplace has changed drastically over the past year,” said Inc. magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Stocked fridges and nap pods were no longer perks many companies could rely on once work went remote. So, this year’s list is even more important as it reveals organizations that continue to enrich the lives of its employees amid a pandemic.”

What makes Flatfile unique? 

A few things. As companies struggled to move hundreds or thousands of workers into the remote working world, Flatfile was already there. Co-founders David Boskovic and Eric Crane made the decision years ago to forgo a headquarters and create a 100% remote company. Remote work is in our DNA.
