Whether it's a customer interview asking about their signup experience, meeting up with them at events (digital for now, of course), or partnering on a fun initiative that will serve both our audiences. Skills you'll need as a Growth Marketer

Growth Marketers at Flatfile should be first and foremost data-driven, with a focus on how to turn budget into revenue. Growing requires designing systems that can scale that growth: from experimentation frameworks to budget allocation matrices. And they must be proactive: never satisfied with current performance and incessantly curious.

Required Skills

  • Understanding of how and when to use data to drive decision making.

    Data isn't useful unless it's actionable.

    Growth marketers know what data to analyze, how to think critically about it, explain what it shows, and take away actionable insights. At Flatfile, we operate with a healthy balance of intuition/gut and data-informed decisions. If we have 70% confidence in what the data is showing, then we should run the test.

  • You’re process-driven and comfortable creating order out of chaos.

    A process for prioritization is key at Flatfile. We can't do everything, we must pick the next right thing to do. This is especially critical when deciding which experiments to test while running multiple simultaneous efforts across the growth marketing spectrum.

  • You're proactive, constantly seeking and implementing improvements.

    You'll need to acquire new customers through content, paid, organic, and partnerships, work cross-functionally to understand how to move users along the customer journey, and be incessantly curious and never satisfied - always setting up experiments to make us 1% better.

  • Required Experience

  • You have experience in B2B marketing, ideally at a growing SaaS company with an emphasis on Growth Marketing, Conversion Rate Optimization, or Engagement and Retention

  • You have a track record of driving revenue growth through a self-service customer acquisition model

  • You have a love for data-driven testing and the ability to quickly iterate on marketing activities based on experiment results

  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills – there is a heavy amount of writing and vendor relationships in this role

  • You are creative, analytical, curious, and can multitask while moving projects forward.

  • You have exceptional ROI tracking skills and are able to prove what is or isn’t working

  • You have performance email marketing experience focusing on personalization and experimentation that drives revenue for the business
